Product Review: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunblock

Previously, I owned the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 70+. It was lotion application and it worked but it was mostly very uncomfortable to wear as it was thick. I used to mix it with my body lotion so it could spread a little easier. When that ran out I decided to get the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunblock SPF 100+ and I love it! It's a spray on application which makes it much easier to apply in hard to reach places.

Review:

This sunscreen is definitely easier to apply than most lotion sunscreens. It doesn't have an overbearing smell (dependent on how sensitive you are), neither does it leave your skin looking discoloured. It adds more of a sheen to your skin and doesn't need to be mixed with or applied over body lotion. It actually does live up to being water proof so it's great for swimming. But, like some sunscreens, it needs reapplication if you're out in the sun for a whole day.

I have had a few issues with the product in that if I sweat a lot I feel like the heat is sealed into my skin. So it can become uncomfortably hot. I only feel this closer to the face and neck areas. Washing it off at the end of a very hot day is very relieving. Also, I paid about $20 US for this product in Walgreens Pharmacy and I saw it here, in Jamaica, for the equivalent rate in Monarch Pharmacy for about $1700. Even though it can be found at a cheaper price if you look hard enough in other places, Neutrogena sunscreens seem to be generally pricier than other brands.

Rating:

Because it actually works very well and it's easy to apply, I'm going to give this product a recommendation for the summer! 4 out of 5 stars.

Peace, Love & Blaze,
Afayah
