I've never really focused on my own hair on my blog but I recently did a post showcasing my loc journey and I thought it would be cool to do occasional hair posts. Today I'm showing you a style I've been rocking for 3 days now (I'm gonna pull it out tonight though). I call it the "Flat Braid Up-do" reason being that I have braided my hair flat against my head (as flat as it can get with the thickness that I have) and I've tucked the ends upward in the back.
I haven't attempted many hairstyles since I have had locks so I decided to just go with the flow with this one. I parted my hair asymmetrically so that one side had more hair than the other. Then I divided the front sections into two parts and did a double flat braid on both sides of my head, gathering all the hair from the back partitions as I braided downward. When all my hair was braided I tucked it upward and pinned with hairpins to keep the braids in place. This style really keeps your head and neck cool but it's difficult to sleep in (if you sleep on your back).
I do wish my pictures were a little better but please let me know what you think of the style.
