One great thing about Jamaica is that our seasons are slightly blurred. You could argue that it's Summer all year round. Here are just a few looks that you can rock for the rest of the summer...and Autumn, maybe?
If you think that you can't get away with highlighter colours during the day time then take it to the beach. Below, I'm wearing a highlighter orange maxi skirt with a complimentary cobalt blue bikini top. Pairing these colours with/over swimsuits is a more casual way to wear it. Consider how brilliant it will under the sunshine. And if you're still not completely comfortable then you can always take off your cover up and model in your bikini. For the more conservative set, wearing shocking colours at night may be more manageable. Just ensure that it's the centre of your outfit. Don't allow anything to clash with it.

No one says that glam doesn't exist at the beach. A monokini is a far more glamourous way to make a statement on the beach. I'm wearing an old pair of denim shorts but decided to accessorize with a pearl necklace. This kind of look is best for a beach party and we're not short of those in Jamaica. If you want to swim you still can, but you'll look fabulous doing it.

White has been the season's go-to colour and it only makes sense. Summers are hot and white is possibly the best thing you can wear under the Jamaican sun. If you're running errands in the day time and want to keep it casual then throw on a baby doll dress and some sunglasses. At night, make an entrance in a white tailored suit and white heels. An all white outfit has as big an impact as an all black outfit...but fresher.

If all white isn't for you then try some pastels. Pastel colours are flirty and light. So if you want colour but you're not into over the top colour overload then pastels are what you need. I'm wearing a lightweight blue and white dress that's a little bit dressy but very comfortable for the summer heat.

The way you're shaped is a huge deal. Some of us are curvy, some of us are top heavy, some of us a straight. The peplum trend has been the saviour of those issues when it comes on to creating or accentuating a shape. The peplum style has been done on shirts, skirts, dresses and even jackets. They've been designed in a variety of ways so that even the smallest flare can have the biggest impact.
